A subtle mix of understated elegance and charm, Lisa's collections do, in fact, reflect her own distinct and playful British style, as well as her own vision of family.
On arrival at Lisa Baker’s, founder of Oscar & Patch Georgian style townhouse, you could easily be mistaken for being in a leafy West London suburb, but surprisingly we are in Plymouth’s Ocean City. The house is situated in a former military headquarters that has been sensitively developed to create a new community and a premier place to live in Devon, England.
Lisa Baker BA (Hons) is a British interior designer and former fashion stylist who lived and worked in London for 13 years before returning home to the Westcountry to raise her two boys. After leaving her home in a small Cornish fishing port t in the 1990s,she began her illustrious fashion career after a chance meeting with one of Britain's most iconic designers, Dame Vivienne Westwood, in a London Tube station - and the rest is history.
With a heritage in dressing for some of the most distinguished luxury fashion houses in the world, the British Royal family, and celebrated stars of the day, it was her own unique, eclectic English aesthetic style that would serve as the building blocks for the brand. As we arrive in Lisa’s house, it looks just how you would imagine a classic 21st-century bohemian, where tradition and modernity meet. I would describe the house as belonging to someone who is very torn between being a minimalist and a massive collector of beautiful and eclectic artifacts, underpinned by a quirky British sense of humor.
