FOUNDER

THE FOUNDER
"AS a PROUD BRIT and DESIGNER. I represent THE skills AND CRAFTSMANSHIP that GREAT BRITAIN are KNOW for."
Lisa Baker, a British BA (hons) interior designer and stylist and the creative Director of Oscar & Patch as well as the lead interior designer at her own practise Lisa Baker Design Studio, is unique among interior designers in that she first studied fashion media in London before embarking on a career in the fashion industry. Following a chance meeting with one of Britain's most iconic fashion designers, the late Vivienne Westwood, in a London Tube station. The rest, as they say, is history. Later, working as a long-term stylist for a renowned London fashion production company.
With a history of dressing for some of the world's most renowned fashion houses and luxury brands, it was while working alongside the late Vivienne Westwood and Paul Smith to name a few distinguished luxury British fashion houses and brands. Her passion for British design and craftsmanship became even greater, and her style, along with her appreciation of rare antiques and vintage, would serve as the cornerstone for her eponymous brand, Oscar & Patch.
Going on to graciously turn down an offer from Kensington Palace to work as a royal dresser. After more than a decade of living and working in London and Paris, Lisa was expecting her first child, Oscar, and planning a return to her childhood roots in the West Country England. Lisa's English sense of style is obvious throughout the collections; wonderfully eclectic, each item exudes a charming sense of originality and Britishness.
OUR HERITAGE
"OUR roots ARE in CORNWALL ENGLAND with, WITH THE FIRST DESIGNS being BLANKETS "
Our Cornish heritage is at the heart of everything we do at Oscar & Patch, creating innovative products that tell a story of what came before. Classics perfected again. Over a century ago, in cottages all around the coast of Cornwall, the gentle clacking of knitting needles would have been a common sound. Traditionally, the pattern of garments produced in Cornwall had a distinct history all of their own, as they showed, to a certain extent, the place in which they were made.
Each fishing family wore hand-knitted Cornish guernseys and knit frocks in their family pattern, which was passed down and dating back to the 1800s. today this rich Cornish tradition continues to live through the Oscar & Patch family.

THE BRAND
"THIS is ALSO THE story OF A Cornish BOY AND HIS DOG, SYNONYMOUS WITH great BRITISH DESIGN"
The hand-drawn logo was named after the founder’s first-born son Oscar and his dog Patch; together they are our muses and brand mascots, and we will always keep them close to our hearts. This charming, instantly recognizable logo evokes the origin of this English house.
According to legend, the name Oscar & Patch was first whispered. among the English countryside by the people of Cornwall. Fascinated by Oscar’s very proper, eclectic English look with Patch always by his side, locals would ask the founder, What are their names? and Lisa the founder, would say, "Oh this is Oscar, and this is Patch," with the reply always "Oh Oscar & Patch, yes, with that Oscar & Patch was born. To this day we have had private customers from Lands End to New York, even a little prince once upon a time. But now we'd like the world to enjoy Oscar & Patch as much as we do, welcome to our family
